Between 2015 and 2018, the Ministry of Education and Research will implement the European Social Fund programme named “Promoting adult education and expanding learning opportunities”.

The objective of the programme is:

• to motivate adults to study
• to provide high-quality and flexible study opportunities considering the needs of labour market

Activities supporting the programme are:

• updating adult general and vocational education
• developing the system of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
• developing regional cooperation to encourage adults to continue their education
• promoting lifelong learning
• improving the quality of further training
• establishing the principles for financing adult education
