Association of Estonian Adult Educators Andras

Andras is a non-profit organisation established in 1991. Andras provides professional certification for adult educators and supports their professional development.

As of 2016, Andras, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, is implementing the activities of the European Social Fund project called “Promoting adult education and expanding learning opportunities”

  • by developing regional cooperation to bring adults without upper secondary education or specialised education back to formal education;
  • and promoting lifelong learning.

To achieve this, various stakeholders and voluntary networks throughout Estonia are involved.

Since 2013, Andras has been coordinating the European Commission project called “AGENDA – Action plan for European adult learning”, which aims at increasing the number of learners and improving the basic skills of the adult population.

Andras is a member of the European Association for the Education of Adults and the European Basic Skills Network and participates in international projects.
